Frozen Bubbles

First try at frozen bubbles. iPhone shots. I thought I'd try a few in the sun, and you can't see the crystals forming very well, but they're pretty, nonetheless. I put them on top of my barbecue. I'm going to try again, Lloydgot some amazing shots with incredible detail and I want to see if I can do better than I did this afternoon. If you want to try, here's the recipe (from Lloyd) for the bubble mix: (store bought doesn't work well)
1 1/2 cups water 1/2 cup dish soap 1/4 cup clear corn syrup
Use a straw to blow a golf ball sized bubble. Don't try to blow it off the end, let it dangle and gently place it down on a snowy surface. Lots will pop. The colder it is the quicker it freezes. Be ready with your camera or smart phone. In the dark, use a flashlight to light the bubble for the best effect.
